Put a Brain on Your Boiler and Save 10% or More

intellicon-hwp250x293

Save 10 Percent on Oil / Gas Consumption!

You can save serious money on home heating and domestic hot water production by adding the Intellicon boiler or furnace controller.  And, it's a job that you can do yourself, if you are handy with basic 110 household electical repairs and installations (if not, your electrician can install the Intellicon device for about $100).

The device is sold as an upgrade to your heating system by home heating contractors  for between ... $500 and $700 installed, but you can buy it on Ebay for about $200 to $230 including shipping, depending upon model and eBay seller.

I bought mine for $195 on eBay and had it installed by my oil company for just under $130 (total cost about $325 installed).  Research done by Lawrence Livermore Labs indicates that you can save as much as 10 percent on your boiler/furnace firing.  So, if you burn 1000 gallons of oil for heating each year, you should save 100 gallons of oil...and based on the most recent heating oil prices in Connecticut, you'd save about $230 a year*.  Look for my update in the Spring!

HomeESP is committed to providing insight about new products on the market that can help you reduce the monthly cost of running your home appliances.
