Homeowner advice for taking care of trees

A recent report from Angie's List noted the best ways a homeowner can look after their trees, as these are important parts to the exterior aesthetic of one's yard.

Having trees that are in good shape and don't look out of place near the home can be very important for curb appeal, Angie's List said, in an article for Live 5 News. As much as a 15 percent increase in home value can be added due to trees looking good in the yard.

"The hot summer weather can be hard on your trees. You might see signs of stress because the leaves are scorched or wilted, or fallen already," said Angie Hicks of Angie's List. "Talk to an arborist for suggestions for exactly how much water your tree should have and other things you can do to help bring it back around."

Having trees near the home inspected by a professional will help in the long run, as these people can provide a significant amount of insight into how healthy the plants are and what they are intended to look like, according to Angie's List.
