HomeESP Appliance Repair Protection Plan Coverage Details
As a Savings Center Member of HomeESP, you are automatically enrolled in HomeESP Appliance Repair Protection Plansm (ARPP), a valuable benefit that gives you added protection and peace of mind if a covered appliance in your home breaks down. The ARPP Program provides you with up to $50 or $75 reimbursement for repair services on covered major appliances in your home depending on whether or not you use our contractor locator.
You're covered automatically beginning with your fourth month as a Savings Center Member!
No Need to Call HomeESP - just call your favorite appliance repair service and receive up to $50 reimbursement or find one through our contractor locator and the benefit increases to $75. Either way, no pre- authorization is needed. If you use our contractor locator, your repair also is covered by our $500 satisfaction assurance program.
Easy and Fast Reimbursement - simply send copies of your appliance repair bill and original purchase receipt for the appliance itself, which must be between one and 10 years old at time of service and have been purchased new by you from an authorized dealer. The repair bill must be a form which includes pre-preprinted contact information including telephone for the appliance repair service provider. You may send copies of receipts as PDF or image attachments by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or copies by US mail to ARPP Requests, 10 Woodway Lane, Suite 302, Wilton, CT 06897. Your reimbursement will be processed within two weeks of receipt. Please also include your mailing address and your HomeESP User Name for fastest processing of your benefits.
Simple Program Rules - you are eligible for ARPP benefits for repairs made beginning in your fourth month of paid HomeESP Savings Center Membership (current membership fee is only $14.95 per month), and may make a claim for reimbursement once every 120 days. We cover each appliance once for each specific repair (an appliance may require different repairs over time and each different repair would each be covered once). We pay up to $50 or $75 as described above, or the full amount of the invoice for the repair, whichever is less, for the covered appliance repaired in your home, which must be at the same address as your primary residence (billing address for your credit card).
Covered Appliances Include full-size refrigerator/freezer (over 17 cu ft), wall oven, range, cooktop, dishwasher, disposal, permanently installed trash compactor, vent hood, kitchen ventilator fan, clothes washer and clothes dryer. Microwaves are only covered if they are permanently installed over the range or cooktop with a vent/fan.
Covered Repair Visits we will reimburse you for any appliance repair visit by any qualified service technician which includes the replacement of a malfunctioning part, or the repair of a part which avoids the need for part replacement. We do not reimburse for adjustments, estimate-only visits, or visits which are cancelled or missed, repairs due to flood, fire, earthquake, acts of God, misuse or intentional damage, or when the appliance requires only an adjustment or resolution of user error (such as blown fuse, thrown circuit breaker, not plugged into power, utilities turned off, etc.). Requests for reimbursement which HomeESP in its sole discretion deems to be fraudulent will not be reimbursed.
Home Warranty, Original Appliance Warranty: ARPP is neither a home warranty, nor an insurance policy and has specific limits on the value of reimbursement and frequency of reimbursement benefit. ARPP reimbursement may be requested even though coverage may be in place from other providers. For example, a third-party home warranty may be in place which pays for a repair on a covered appliance but may have a deductible or “trade fee” associated with the repair. As a Savings Center Member of HomeESP you may apply for reimbursement even though you have a home warranty which provides additional reimbursement benefits. If the repair has no out of pocket cost to you, as in the case of an appliance which is still under the manufacturer’s warranty or is repaired as part of a recall campaign, there is no reimbursement available from HomeESP for that repair.
Subject to Change at Any Time: The benefits, costs, eligibility and availability of the ARPP program is subject to change without prior notice; HomeESP will communicate any changes to the program by updating this document and has no obligation to notify you of changes by any other means. If the program is canceled, HomeESP will notify you by electronic mail to the address on file within your HomeESP profile.
