After helping a contractor come up with plans for your new home, Bob Vila states you should be there for the construction of the house at certain junctures to ensure your blueprint comes to fruition. There are three "P's" to keep in mind when watching a construction crew work on your home.
First, he says you should understand that the people putting your home together - construction workers, contractors, carpenters, plumbers and electricians - are all professionals. Be sure to give them the space they require to get the job done well. Interfering with their work will probably only hinder the progress being made.

In fact, architects and home builders are shifting their efforts toward moderately sized (and priced) beach homes, as the market for large beachfront estates are all but extinct.
