How do I submit an article or story for the Playroom to publish?
We are always looking for new and interesting material to share with our HomeESP neighbors. We will publish your cartoons, stories, poems as long as they are light and airy. Remember, this is the Playroom. Fun and Funny work best here. If you have an idea for a puzzle or other engaging game, let us know. Submissions should be emailed to Playroom@HomeESP.com Always include a cover note with an explanation of what you are submitting and any other information you may think is important for us to consider.

What is the Blackout Protection Benefit?
HomeESP will pay $50 per 24-hour period, for up to three days (up to $150) per calendar year, for any loss of utility-supplied electricity to your home. The benefit begins 12 hours after the initial loss of power. You can use this money for any purpose, such expenses you incur during a loss of power, including food, hotel, transportation or shopping. The loss of power can be due to any natural cause or failure of the utility provider to maintain power supply to your residence. It does not cover loss of power from solar panels or wind generation on your property, construction at the residence or on your property, or other on-premises cause of failure, suspension of service by the utility due to administrative error or for non-payment of bills, or negligence, abuse or damage to power infrastructure by the HomeESP Member.
How do I claim my Blackout Protection Benefit?
Complete and send HomeESP the Blackout Protection Claim Form describing the power outage, day and time it started, and day and time power was restored. You also must provide a copy of the utility bill(s) corresponding with the dates of the blackout. You also must provide a receipt or receipts of out of pocket costs you incurred because of this power outage. HomeESP will research your claim and make a decision on payment. You must submit your claim by mail within 45 days of the blackout incident you are reporting for expense reimbursement. If your claim is approved payment will be made within six weeks of receipt of your claim. You must be a HomeESP Premier member in good standing to collect your claim.

How do I collect the up to $20 that HomeESP is paying for my new CFL (Compact Flurescent Lightbulbs)?
Easy. Once you join HomeESP's Savings Center, we will send you two dollars for every CFL bulb you buy up to $20. Just mail us the receipts for your purchases to:

You must write your name and address on the back of the receipt so we can then send you a check for an amount up to $20 for the amount of bulbs you purchased within 10 business days of us receiving your receipt. Please be sure it is clear how many bulbs you purchased. And if you don't buy all 10 bulbs at one time, don't worry. You have 3 months from the date you join the Savings Center to send us your receipts for any CFL purchases and collect all $20. We want to encourage you to change to CFLs and begin to save energy and money immediately. How to I get reimbursement for appliance repairs from Appliance Repair Purchase Plan?
Appliance Repair Purchase Plan is a free benefit of HomeESP, that covers your kitchen and laundry appliances for up to the first $50 or $75 cost of repairs (we pay $75 if you use our contractor locator, $50 if you use your own repair service). What is the $100 Energy Project Rebate Benefit?
HomeESP wants to help our members invest in energy saving projects in and around their homes. HomeESP will pay you $100 for any project that results in lowering your energy usage in your house.
Energy saving projects include, but are not limited to:
- Installing new energy efficient windows
- Installing intelligent controls for your boiler
- Replacing boiler, hot water heater, air conditioning or heat pump with more efficient models
- Installing programmable thermostats
- Insulating your walls, attic or basement
- Installing solar electric and/or hot water panels
- Replacing old appliances with more efficient new appliances
The project can be performed by a contractor of your choosing or you can do-it-yourself but the project must have a cost of $300 or more. They must be permanent additions to the home.
How do I claim my the $100 Energy Project Rebate Benefit?
Complete and send HomeESP the $100 Energy Project Rebate Claim Form describing the project, day and time it started, and day and time the project was completed. You also must provide a copy of the contractor’s bill(s) corresponding with the dates of the project. If this was a DIY project, you must provide copies of all the bills associated with the materials used for the project. You also must provide answers to a few questions that we ask on the $100 Energy Project Rebate Claim Form.
HomeESP will process your form and if your claim is approved, payment will be made within six weeks of receipt of your claim. You must submit your claim by US mail within 45 days of completing the Energy Project you are reporting for expense reimbursement. You must be a HomeESP Premier member in good standing and have been a Premier member a minimum of three months when you started your project to collect your claim. Members can claim a second $100 Energy Project Rebate upon the second anniversary of their membership or twelve months after their first $100 Energy Project Rebate Benefit payment, which ever comes first. To request your Energy Project Rebate Claim Form Send us an e-mail. Please be sure to request the Energy Project Rebate Claim Form by name. If you hired your contractor via our contractor locator, please be sure to mention that, as we'll send you an additional $25 cash back!
How do I get my $100 - or more - rebate with the ADT Alarm System offered to HomeESP Members?
HomeESP thinks it's important to have a central station alarm system to protect you and your family. Not only do we offer a great Home Security System at a great value through our award winning partner, ADT, you will receive a monitoring rebate of up to $100. This is an extra bonus directly from HomeESP.
Order the service by calling the special HomeESP phone number 1-888-339-2071 and you will receive a "cash-back" rebate up to $100 from HomeESP to help cover monitoring after your system is installed. Just be a HomeESP Premier member in good standings for three months or more at the time your ADT system is installed using this promotion. If you have not yet been a member for three months, you are still eligible for the rebate. We will simply send you your accumulated rebate immediately at the end of your third month of membership.
HomeESP will pay you a monitoring rebate of up to $100.00. As long as you remain a HomeESP Premier (or higher) Member in good standing, we will provide you with a rebate of $5.00 each and every month for life – up to $100!
